Did you know that the Family History Guide publishes a newsletter twice a month called The Family History Guide Explorer? I love it and I bet you will too! You can subscribe to get it right away subscribe@thefjguide.com Each Newsletter it's then archived on The Family History Guide. See the More in the drop-down menu on the Home page of The Family History Guide
Go to the home page at www.thefhguide.com Click on More: Select Newsletter. In addition to subscribing you can also see, The Family History Guide Explorer Index: Find specific articles of interest or you can scroll down to Past Issues: There you will find them all there beautifully displayed by date. Click to open browse around.
I looked through the Newsletters from the past and found one I like a lot. You can read it on this link.
The Newsletters have a variety of topics in each one. This one tells us about various land records and some ways to find them and use them. It also will teach you about LDS Genealogy. If you think it is just about genealogy for the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it is not. Family Search is available to everyone for free. Check out family search dot org. There you can find millions of records for free that will help you in your research and it has many other great features as well, like a wonderful family tree. You'll probably find lots of people working on your shared ancestors. It is a great resource for all of us.
